  • Abstract:  3DSOn June 23, 2009, a game for the Nintendo DS known as Devil Survivor was released in the United States. It was a story about a group of people who find themselves trapped in a lockdown of Tokyo as monsters and gods from various pantheons wreak havoc...

  • Abstract:  Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked is a strange port, considering the original DS release is only a couple years old at this point and can totally be played on a 3DS. This version of the game introduces voices, an additional chapter, and a ...

  • Abstract:  When I wrote up my review of the 3DS release of The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time, I noted that no matter how great the original game was, and how much fun it may have been to play it once more, it was not going to be the title that saved the N...

  • Abstract:  Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked is a port of the 2009 DS non-Overclocked game. It tells the story of three teens trapped in Tokyo during a less-than-natural disaster. It features the kind of deep gameplay the series is known for, and has...

  • Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked is a solid update to an excellent game, and features some solid additions that absolutely make this the definitive version of the game… but if you’ve spent your time and money on the original, it’s hard t...

  • Now has full voice acting, there are new demons to collect, certain scenarios have an eighth day epilogue adventure, there is now an easy difficulty level, you can earn in-game achievements for certain actions, interesting story, challenging, multiple endings and there are tons of demons to collect/create. Can use skill crack to learn enemies abilities.
  • Doesn’t use any of the 3DS’ special features, like StreetPass, SpotPass or 3D. Oh, except for the title screen, which is in 3D until you decide to start a new game or continue.

  • Unique take on strategy/RPG combat; multiple endings; engrossing story and characters; formidable challenge.
  • Weak soundtrack; 3D functionality is hardly utilized; can be very grindy; improvements over the DS original aren't substantial.

  • Abstract:  I'm all for handheld game remakes. Though you get the occasional cash-in, games like Chrono Trigger and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time have found new life on handheld ports. However, when you remake a game from two years ago that was already on a...

  • Abstract:  Remaking a game released all of two and a half years ago must seem strange. Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked is an update of the DS’ earlier Devil Survivor, a tactical RPG that let players build their own squad of fantasy-style monsters a...

  • Deep, yet quick combat, Addicting demon fusion, Big chunk of new story
  • Steep difficulty curve later on, A little too emo for some, Barely uses 3D
