  • Abstract:  It's been a while since we've heard the name Golden Sun. This franchise from Camelot Software and Nintendo was all the rave back when the Game Boy Advance was at its zenith. It was successful for its role-playing game tropes, innovative magic system, a...

  • Abstract:  It's been over seven years since the release of one of my favorite GBA titles. I distinctly remember sitting in the car holding Golden Sun: The Lost Age in my hands and thinking I couldn't get home fast enough. The fate of whatever poor cartridge was i...

  • Great touch screen controls, easy to see and understand everything, over 80 djinn to collect, can switch classes with djinn equipped, lots of psynergy to use in the field to solve puzzles or move around, looks great, djinn summons look fantastic, informative in-game encyclopedia with hyperlinks in conversations, large area to explore, battles are fast-paced and there’s a great story. Does a great
  • Initial introduction is a bit long. normal battles aren’t terribly challenging and sometimes it’s hard to tell what kind of response you’ll get from using the main character’s emoticon responses.

  • A large, detailed world full of interesting characters and factions; a simple yet enjoyable battle system; compulsively collectible Djinn; smartly designed puzzles; interface that's elegant and welltailored to the DS.
  • Opening nine or so hours move at an absurdly slow pace; expositionpacked conversations; a general lack of difficulty.
