  • Unique, convenient design. Good sound quality for voice calls.
  • Not quite strong enough for recording. Strange balance of price, features, and performance
  • The Blue Microphones Tiki is a unique USB mic mainly intended for voice calls, and not quite powerful enough to handle serious podcast or recording work....

  • Abstract:  The primary reason that I, and I suspect others, don’t make phone calls over Skype on my computer more often is that unless I reach for a headset, the audio quality through the microphone built into my laptop is going to make for a mediocre sounding ...

  • You can get by with the in-line mic on a pair of headphones or Bluetooth headset. But if you dont want to wear a headset, and you really want more clarity in the sound your computer is capturing, then the Tiki makes a weak computer mic sound just about 6...

  • Abstract:  The snail-like Tiki USB microphone from Blue that caught our attention at CES 2012 has now been released. The PC/Mac-friendly, plug-and-play microphone features background noise-cancellation and auto-muting for online comms and a high quality voice/instru...

  • The Tiki is a rare miss from Blue, which normally produces excellent microphones. If you're looking for a mic for voice notes or Skype calls, I would steer clear of Blue's teensy Tiki. It's a pretty trinket, but it doesn't deliver sound quality any better...

  • Only if you really really care about the clarity of the sound your computer is capturing. The Tiki is non-essential betterness. If $US60 is a little too much or you're not going to use the mic often, you can certainly get away with the in-line mic on your...

  • Great mic, Beautiful package
  • Not for professional recording (but they make mics for that)
  • The quality of the microphone in the Tiki is a huge step up from the built in mics in laptops. Actually, according to my friends, its much better than the mics in any of the headsets I've used to Skype with them previously. This thing is the best thing th...

  • Great design, small, sounds good, auto sound control works brilliantly
  • USB extension gave us some hum in Audacity, natural recording mode is great but very quiet
  • A lovely device, and one that will add a great deal to either Skype or your podcasting. We used it for both, and all the people we spoke to said it sounded brilliant. Shop around, and you can nab this for just £30 too, and at that price, it's a steal...

  • Abstract:  I find that I'm using Skype more and more these days, and also dictating text to my MacBook on a several-times-daily basis – both of which activities require using the laptop's microphone. Skype is self-explanatory, but you may not have noticed the new di...
