  • Abstract:  Updated from Soundfreaq's earlier Sound Step, the new Sound Step Lightning ($TBD, aka Sound Step with Lightning Connector) preserves the look and feel of the prior speaker, which coupled Bluetooth wireless streaming and FM radio tuning functionality w...

  • Small enough to be truly portable. USB port charges other devices. Can connect to just about anything.
  • Otherwise lackluster app is the only way to control FM radio. Remote feels like an afterthought.
  • The Sound Step will connect to just about anything. It’s not a party-starter, but for more modest needs, this small dock has a lot to offer in the way of portability and connectivity. Product Sound Step Recharge Company Soundfreaq Contact soundfre...

  • The Soundfreaq Sound Step throws in a little bit of everything with its low-profile, modern look, wireless Bluetooth audio, video out, USB charge port, remote control, FM radio, and compatibility with Apple's iPad, iPhone, and iPod
  • Sound is thin and lifeless, and the FM radio tuner requires an app interface to operate
  • The Soundfreaq Sound Step offers everything you'd want in an all-in-one speaker dock, except great sound.

  • Abstract:  Though their designs obviously demonstrate that they’re members of the same family, Sound Step Recharge is smaller than the Sound Platform, with an inch less of depth at 5”, a 3.5” height versus 5.9”, and only a little extra width at 13” versus 11.8”....

  • Abstract:  It's highly adaptable, so while an iPad will sit happily on it, you can use almost any portable music device as a sound source, from a BlackBerry to Android phones. Connection can be by Bluetooth or (a favourite of mine for simplicity) an old-fashioned wi...

  • Great sound for size and price, Highly flexible, Interesting design
  • Not the most portable dock of its class
  • Packing-in the right features at the right price, and offering sound quality better than the majority of battery-powered docks, the Soundfreaq Sound Step Recharge is one of the very best portable docks you can get for under £150. It's much less portable t...

  • Compact, well made and stylish, the Soundstep has all the visual bases covered and it pumps out a perfectly decent sound. While it holds iPhones, iPods and iPads securely, its other main selling points are the Bluetooth connectivity and remote control...
