Very easy to install, Temperature and humidity history charts, Email, app, and push alerts
Pricey, Does not integrate with other home automation devices, Lacks IFTTT support
The Honeywell Lyric Wi-Fi Water Leak and Freeze Detector will alert you when it detects moisture, high or low humidity levels, or freezing temperatures. It's a snap to install and works as advertised, but it doesn't interact with other connected devices...
Abstract: If you're looking to upgrade your home appliances and add Siri control, then HomeKit is a key feature you'll want to look for when buying new hardware. The number of HomeKit-compatible smart thermostats is continuing to grow with Honeywell's Lyric Round W...

Easy to install and configure. Supports geofencing. Uses outdoor weather data for optimal heating and cooling.
Bottom Line, The Honeywell Lyric is a stylish Wi-Fi thermostat that you can control from your smartphone. It uses geofencing to conserve energy while you're away, and to heat or cool your home before you return
The Honeywell Lyric is a stylish Wi-Fi thermostat that you can control from your smartphone. It uses geofencing to conserve energy while you're away, and to heat or cool your home before you return....
Uses geo-fencing to determine when you're home and away, Measures indoor humidity and reports the weather, Easy to install
An abundance of plastic makes it look and feel cheap, No web portal for manual programming, Unfavorable price/performance ratio
Geo-fencing is probably a better solution than an algorithm that takes time to learn your home/away patterns, but that feature alone isn't enough to justify the Lyric's high price tag....

Geofencing feature works intermittentl, Doesn't work with all router, Fewer features than Nest
It's not surprising that Honeywell is entering the smart thermostat arena. However, while the company has decades of experience making thermostats, it's in the same boat as everyone else when making apps. While I like Honeywell's idea of using geofencing...
Whatever your schedule, the Lyric can use its 500-foot or 7-mile adjustable geofencing feature to adapt to it. The thermostat and app are clear design upgrades from the brand's Wi-Fi Smart thermostats
The thermostat isn't compatible with certain routers, it periodically shifted to Away mode when I was home, and the app doesn't always label your heating and cooling status, making at-a-glance monitoring of your Home or Away settings a real challenge
While the Lyric has a ton of potential, the app needs some major updates to make its usability and performance on par with the Nest....
Geolocation feature knows when you're away, Shortcut settings make programming simple, Easy, straightforward app
Some gaps in the installation instructions, Fine tuning temperature feature can be confusing
Despite some growing pains, the Lyric is a capable first attempt at competing against the likes of Nest. Its features make it a satisfactory choice for a primary home; but those looking after a second home may question its reliability until some softwar...

Abstract: Oh, the irony. Honeywell introduced a round thermostat way back in 1953, but abandoned the shape in favor of rectangles in 1960. Thermostat manufacturers relied on that basic industrial design for the next 40 years, until the geniuses at Nest resurrected ...
