The Samsung BD-F5900 offers a wealth of features and incredibly speedy performance; suite of apps is very good and the interface is easy to use; image quality is as good if not better than that of similarly priced players
CD ripping is slow and limited, some ever-so-slight issues with cadence, Quick Start mode uses almost as much electricity when off as when playing a disk
The Samsung BD-F5900 is an excellent Blu-ray player with the right mix of usability, performance, and speed.

The BD-F5900 occupies the sweet spot in the middle of the 2013 Samsung F Series trio of Blu-ray players. It supplies almost all of the features - Smart connectivity, apps and more apps, integrated Wi-Fi - that you expect in a thoroughly modern player, all...
Abstract: Samsung's 2013 Blu-ray players stay pretty much within the lines. They continue to phase out analogue connections, while focusing on smart features, UHD, and 3D playback. This year they are offering three different units, the BD-F7500, BD-F5900, and BD...
