  • I'm a big fan of simple technology that reliably does a useful job, and Bluetooth tags are a good example. Stick one on a keyring, in a bag or whatever, and then forget about it. Lose track of the item, or walk off without it, and you get alerted. There ar...

  • It uses Bluetooth 4, so it doesn't drain your iPhone battery. Batteries inside the fob and tag are longlasting and userreplaceable (no charging).
  • It uses Bluetooth 4, so older iOS devices aren't compatible

  • The Proximo Proximity Monitoring System is a cinch to set up and its polished iOS app is intuitive to use
  • Proximo's app doesn't allow you to preview phone alarm sounds, and you must launch the app in order to dismiss a triggered alarm on the handset
  • The Proximo Proximity Monitoring System is reliable and very easy to use, but $60 is a high price to pay just to keep track of your belongings.

  • Minimal battery drain for iPhone, Works as expected to find keys and other valuables from iPhone
  • Can't support broad enough distances for some alarm uses
  • The Proximo products and app are clever, and they work. I really wish that the built-in alarm could work with a broader range, so that my iPhone and fob wouldn't sound their alerts until they were a bit further apart; as is, it's too limited for me to us...
