  • The ATC3Ks waterproof, shockproof design takes bumps and splashes in stride. The Webcam and live monitor functions enhance the usefulness of the camera.
  • The unit only captures VGA video, which is fairly low resolution by todays standards. Front-heavy design makes the unit difficult to mount stably. Low light performance is abysmal. The ATC3K does not feature a still photography mode.
  • The ATC3K Action Camera is rugged enough to take the knocks of extreme sports; however, it falls flat when it comes to video and photo quality.

  • The Oregon Scientific ATC3K Action Camera is well priced, waterproof, can be used as a webcam (although not with Vista 64), offers adequate resolution for most purposes, is solidly built, and comes with all the attachments you need to mount it for a v...

  • Water/shock/freeze-proof, all-in-one design, lots of bundled extras
  • No viewfinder, terrible audio, a bit too bulky for helmet use
  • While not without its flaws, the Oregon Scientific ATC3K Action Camera is an excellent product for the asking price. If you’re an outdoors enthusiast keen to chronicle your exploits, look no further. It’s the best valued sports camcorder on th...

  • Abstract:  As the name implies, the ActionCam is specifically designed for manly outdoor activities, such as cycling and snowboarding. It’s water-resistant, and includes a mounting kit that lets you fix it to a crash-helmet or the handlebars of a bike. The ActionCam has a resolution of 640 x 480, so it won’t match...

  • Abstract:  If you're into mountain biking, surfing or skydiving, this could provide hours of fun. Strap it down with one of the included clips or Velcro bands as you perform death-defying feats and it will capture 640 x 480 footage to an SD card. Taking it up to ...

  • Abstract:  Your very own instant replay. A basic but very usable semi-rugged camcorder at a reasonable price. As its military styling suggests, the aptly named Action Cam can endure extreme heat, shocks and underwater use. Adrenaline junkies can fix it to their...

  • Weatherproof, kit contains all the bits you need, takes SD card
  • Sound is poor, image wobble, heavy when head mounted, no SD card supplied
