  • 720p HD video, 5x optical zoom, nice 3 inch color LCD screen, full featured for a pocket camcorder of its size,
  • There is no component cable and has a slow AF, poor still camera pictures and the pistol grip may not be for everyone.
  • Shooting both HD-quality movies and 10-megapixel photos is quick and simple, but the somewhat sluggish start and lower quality still pictures could be worked on....

  • Abstract:  In an attempt to create a new category of devices, Sanyo dubbed its latest Xacti camcorder models "dual cameras," designed to be equally adept at shooting movies and still photos. With the VPC-CG10, the company certainly got the design and features cor...

  • Abstract:  Short version: An excellent casual HD camcorder with superior image quality to pocket cams and a flexible focus system, making it useful for bloggers like me as well. At under $200 this thing is absolutely a steal.Full review A while back I was at AMD’...

  • Highly configurable for a pocket camcorder; takes still pictures; includes flash for stills; removable media.
  • Video is over-saturated; HD cable not included; getting the best video requires playing with manual settings and even then results may be no better than a competing one-button pocket camcorder.
  • Taking all of this into consideration, there’s still the “Yeah, but” factor. While it’s true that there’s a lot of feature sizzle and not all of it produces the kind of results you get from a full-sized camcorder—yeah...

  • Abstract:  Whatever camcorder you might be looking for, the Sanyo VPC-CG10 (MSRP $200) is a bargain. Its the same price as the Flip UltraHD and only $20-$50 more expensive than other ultracompact camcorders. It may not be as easy to use as these competitors, but...

  • Abstract:  Tech Digest's Dan Sung puts the new Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG10 through its paces and comes out thoroughly impressed. Part of Sanyo's Dual Range, the Xacti is designed to take great video and stills while not compromising on portability.A choice of auto-focus...

  • Eye-catching and generally well-constructed; fast; image quality better than expected; beginner-friendly
  • Sound of the camera’s mechanical operation intrudes into quieter video clips; voice prompts quickly became irritating
  • Beginners can ease themselves gently into use of the CG10 but the more experienced may be put off by the level of hand holding offered Good points Eye-catching and generally well-constructed; fast; image quality better than expected; beginner-friendly...

  • The attractively styled Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG10 with its uniquely comfortable gun grip is both fun and simple to use. It produced decent stills and offers a good video resolution, though not at full HD. The generous onboard memory makes it good value, bu...

  • Good cost/performance ratio, 10-megapixel stills mode, small and stylish
  • 5x optical zoom, sub-par low-light performance, pistol grip isn’t for everybody
  • If you’re a fan of pistol grip camcorders, the Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG10 is one of the best-value HD options on the market. It’s compact, stylish and capable of taking some impressive video and photos. ...

  • Extremely compact , Decent quality stills
  • Slow capture times , Sits poorly on small tripods , Average video quality
  • Sanyo's entry-level portable camcorder is very portable indeed, but suffers with some design and implementation flaws....
