  • For recording images, no removable media is supplied in the box, though there is an option for using either xD-Picture Card or the more common SD variety, plus a 45MB internal capacity to fall back on. Though colourful, there is a disappointing overal...

  • Abstract:  In the first of our five group tests of compact digital cameras, were looking at what are best termed budget models. Weve not gone for the absolute cheapest of the cheap (you can, after all buy a digital camera/ webcam thingy for as little as $20)...

  • Fits comfortably in pocket and hand. Four tiny feet add stability for lowlight shots and selfportraits. Pretty, saturated prints.
  • Startup not the quickest among its peers. Upperend ISO images are noisy.

  • Fast AF, clear menu
  • Noise, small LCD, no metering control
  • An overall good if imperfect offering, the Z20fd is one of the best compacts around the £100 mark. Reviewer: Matt Golowczynski

  • Tiny, compact size, Excellent feel and quality, Face Detection Technology, Good selection of useful preset shooting modes, Large 2.5-inch LCD is usable in very bright light, ISO up to 1,600, Generally good color and exposure, 10-megapixel CCD picks up ...
  • Strong blurring on the left side of the frame at wide angle and telephoto, Image noise high at ISO 400 and up, with altered color balance and strong noise grain at ISO 1,600, Some oversaturation of strong reds and blues, Slightly soft definition of fin...
  • Pocketable, compact, and available in a rainbow of fun colors, the Fujifilm FinePix Z20fd practically begs to be taken along for the ride. Its tiny body holds a 10-megapixel CCD, 3x optical zoom lens and a host of fun preset shooting modes and creative...

  • Attractive price, Hip style and color options, White balance performance a plus, Betterthanaverage performance at ISO 800 and beyond,
  • Flash still problematic, AF can be slow, continuous shooting slower, Severely clipped highlights a persistent issue, The lens hasn't gotten any better,
  • The Z20fd should be evaluated in light of the standards for a budget camera, and so in many areas where it came up short, it's not a shock. While it would have been nice to see Fuji improve on some of the areas where the Z10fd fell short, it simply wa...

  • Slim, easy to use
  • Picture quality not fantastic, slow autofocus
  • It’s a slim and simple camera, but Fujifilm’s Finepix Z20fd will only suit amateur users who aren’t overly concerned with image sharpness and quality. ...

  • Surprisingly solid build quality given the very affordable price, easy to use, quick to activate
  • Softness to images, no true image stabilisation on board, frill free
