  • Great image quality, Body feels good to hold
  • Controls and menu, Small sensor, Unintuitive
  • The Nikon 1 V1 is an interchangeable lens camera that's capable of supplying great image quality, and it's well built, but it's poor when it comes to usability. Furthermore, its sensor is very small and not up to the standard of competing cameras from Oly...

  • Range of features like slow-motion video and motion snapshot that are fun to use. Excellent viewfinder and screen. Excellent image quality for its class. Excellent HD video quality
  • Control system takes a while to become intuitive. Manual settings aren't easily accessible; options hidden in menus. No art/creative filters. Expensive
  • The Nikon 1 V1 is a lovely interchangeable lens camera, provided you have the time to spend learning its many shooting modes and the price doesn't scare you away....

  • Unusually fast in all aspects, Superb EVF and LCD, Fast fulltime AF in Movie mode
  • Heavily menudriven navigation is tedious, Missing a few advanced features, Flash is an additional $160

  • Abstract:  My first impression of the V1 was that it is on the chunky side, both to look at and to handle. The design is interesting as a retro exercise, if you accept that sometimes a look can be nostalgic without being a rehash of anything specific. When you meas...

  • The V1 has a light and compact design that does put less pressure on your wrist during long video shots, but its lack of an articulated LCD and focus ring don't make for a very fun video recording experience. The camera does have a responsive and silent a...
