  • The Nikon 1 V1 is an interchangeable lens camera that's capable of supplying great image quality, and it's well built, but it's poor when it comes to usability. Furthermore, its sensor is very small and not up to the standard of competing cameras from ...

  • Image quality, easy to use, great EVF, AF speed, overall performance speed, JPEG+RAW shooting, great video features
  • Expensive, design is uninspiring, manual controls are all stuffed in menus
  • The Nikon 1 V1 is a bold and brave step by Nikon into the compact, mirrorless system camera market. And while the V1 provides most of what Nikon wanted it too, it’s an expensive, if compact, option....

  • Better picture quality than regular compact cameras, Good general responsiveness, fast autofocus, Nice innovative features (Motion Snapshot, Smart Photo Selector), Good build and finish, feels robust, highcapacity battery, Screen and viewfinder are accurate and pleasant to use
  • Some strange design choices (direct access shortcuts, handling etc.), No flash supplied / Not compatible with Nikon SLR flashes, Gimmicky functions take precedence over traditional advanced photography settings, Bulkier than the Panasonic GF3 1442 mm X lens
  • The Nikon V1 is an original concept camera that's radically different from other interchangeable lens compacts. Unfortunately, gimmicky functions take precedence over the kind of standard settings you'd expect to see in an advanced camera. The idea is ...

  • Great High ISO performance, Blazing fast and accurate focus system, Solid build quality, Dual Shutters (mechanical and electronic)
  • Pricey, Cluttered menu system, Lack of PASM on mode dial, No auto-focus or exposure correction in high speed shooting mode
  • Nikon has finally arrived to the mirrorless camera party with its Nikon V1 and J1. Though a tad bit late, one could say Nikon was taking the time to not only develop their own proprietary sensor, but also come up with a hybrid contrast-phase-detect focusi...

  • f you will do overall analysis, you will find conclusion that Sony NEX – 7 has biggest sensor, Nikon V1 has advanced & unique features and Olympus PEN E-P3 has compromised in both. If you are looking for larger sensor and much high megapixels and willing ...

  • Abstract:  Interchangeable lens cameras (ILCs) are becoming increasingly popular with consumers as they offer good image quality but are more compact than traditional dSLRs. It therefore comes as no surprise that Nikon would hop onto the ILC bandwagon with its ow...

  • Super fast autofocus speed; 60fps burst shooting in Electronic-Hi mode; good picture and video quality.
  • Average noise performance; Auto ISO mode doesn't work well; flash accessory not included.
  • On the whole, the Nikon V1 is a nice MILC that has a good array of features that would attract enthusiasts. It's definitely one of the fastest cameras - for autofocus, subject tracking and continuous shooting, the V1 is one of the best in this categ...

  • Nikon has named the V1 well. The moniker brings to mind rockets and speed, and the camera is certainly a quick one. While the quickness of the V1 is not compelling, it is interesting, and adds a whole new dimension to the shooting experience. The V1 is a c...
