Abstract: Some digicams hit the shelves and at first appear to be run-of-the-mill compacts with little to offer. How blasé can you get! This is one of those: the zoom is a 10x lens; it has 2GB of internal memory, so you may never need a memory card; 14 megapixel...
Abstract: The Olympus Mju 9010 is in itself a pretty good camera. It is a camera with a large optical range with which you can photograph all-round in a relatively simple way, as the theory goes. Whoever is looking for a small format, lightweight camera, but doe...
The Olympus mju 9010 has left us with a more favourable impression than its little sister the Olympus mju 7040, chiefly because of its better lens and more robust build. Although a longer zoom typically means more compromises in the optical departmen...
The image quality is good with less obvious noise reduction effect than we find with most 14 megapixel compacts. The detail resolution of the Olympus is much better than that of our standard compact comparison camera. Exposure and white balance are gen...
The LCD is acceptable as a viewfinder but just barely adequate for reviewing captured images. Olympus make big claims for their HyperCrystal view LCDs which in our experience are not justified.

1.7 GB internal memory, builtin user guide, Sharpness at low sensitivities in wideangle, Decent phototophoto turnaround time, Some buttons backlit
Digital noise a problem from 400 ISO, No zoom in video mode, mono sound, Zoom makes a rattling noise, Interface can be complicated, Awful burst mode
Olympus hasn't really succeeded in improving a camera that failed to impress us last year. Plus, the design, handling and digital noise management have actually got worse! You can pick up a slightly better and slightly cheaper alternative from Fujifilm...
Abstract: Over the past couple of years long-zoom compacts or “travel cameras” have become one of the most popular categories of digital camera. Olympus' first foray into the long-zoom market was the mju 9000 , a well-received 10x zoom 12-megapixel model launched e...
The classy looking Olympus Mju 9010 scores high in terms of features but it shoots just average quality images and videos. If you want long zoom and HD video in this price range, you can consider the Samsung WB550 which has a wider angle lens and more...
Compact by name, compact by nature – but the Olympus [mju:] 9010 is tardis-like in terms of the amount of features and image quality is largely very good...
