  • If you can live without an electronic viewfinder, you won't find a better value in a compact super-zoom than the DSC-H10. The zoom factor is not as high as most of the competition, but 38-380mm (35mm equivalent) is still a lot of zoom. The advanced fea...

  • Abstract:  Its improved “advanced sports” shooting mode now employs a system to apply higher shutter speeds, up to 1/4000 of a second, more frequently than on previous models. This mode combines high shutter speeds with predictive continuous auto-focusing so you ...

  • The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H10, an evolutionary upgrade to last years H3, is a compact, responsive and versatile superzoom with an effective image-stabilisation system. If the strangely shaped hand-grip and the plastic body do not inspire confidence at ...

  • Lens quality, 10x optical zoom, Relatively fast in action mode, Override settings not always present on pointandshoot cameras,
  • No optical finder; LCD practically unusable outdoors, Manual mode unnecessary as implemented, Macro mode focus fussiness, Menu system,
  • The images produced by the Sony Cyber-shot H10 can be stunning. This is largely a testament to the fine lens used.BUY the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H10 (black)Amazon.com Marketplace $349.99see all pricing for the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H10 (black)However, th...

  • Optical image-stabilization. Carl Zeiss 10x zoom lens. Full manual-mode w/ EV flash control.
  • Exclusively supports Memory Stick Duo. Some color bleed. Chromatic aberration at wide angles.
  • The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H10 isnt the best looking camera in Sonys lineup, but it is one of the most functional. Sporting a full-manual mode, 10x zoom, an EV calibrated flash-control and ISO sensitivity up to 3200, the Sony DSC-H10 is as close to p...

  • Capable of excellent photos outdoors in good light; compact and comfortable.
  • No semimanual exposure modes; lens distortion; no zooming during movie capture; poor high-ISO noise profile; so-so auto white balance indoors.
  • The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H10 is a decent budget megazoom that can deliver very nice outdoor shots, but its photo quality falls short in other respects.

  • Reliable point and shoot performance, Good image quality in good light; bright, sharp images with immediate consumer friendly appeal, Powerful flash with slow synch mode, Efficient image stabilization, Good zoom range (although only starting at 38mm), Com...
  • No real wide angle, Manual mode only offers 2 F-stop settings, Slow, unreliable focus in low light, Only basic external controls, Longwinded menu structure, All-plastic body, Non-standard video/USB connector, Combined effects of noise and noise reduction...
  • I mentioned in the introduction to this review that the only apparent difference between the Sony DSC-H10 and its predecessor - the H3 which we reviewed in January - is the size and resolution of the screen. So it wont come as a surprise that this co...

  • Large 3-inch screen. Can preview ISO settings on the LCD. Little noise in low-light shots. Sports-shooting scene mode for capturing clear, fast-action shots.
  • Faulty face detection. Flash shots are overexposed. No optical viewfinder. Plastic body feels a bit flimsy.
  • The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H10s unique features are overshadowed by poor flash image quality and iffy face detection. If youre in the market for a budget superzoom, better, lower-priced options are out there....
