  • Abstract:  The Panasonic 8mm f3.5 Fisheye is now more than ten years old. But, can a lens that’s more than a decade old stand among today’s optics?...

  • Quite sharp. Offers a unique perspective. Compact.
  • Not for everyone. Expensive
  • The Panasonic Lumix G Fisheye 8mm F3.5 captures everything in front of your camera in a unique curved perspective, but it's a love-it or hate-it lens....

  • The LUMIX G FISHEYE 8mm F3.5 is a very specialist lens that provides a unique view on the world. It delivers great image quality in a tiny package, but at £729 / $799.99 you've got to really love the fisheye effect. As you'd expect given the premium pr...

  • Dramatic 180-degree fish-eye effect. Full automatic and manual control
  • Expensive considering its limited usage
  • Given the limited applications for a fish-eye lens and the expensive list price, we can't help but wonder how many of these units Panasonic will sell. If you want to shoot real fish-eye and Micro Four Thirds is your system of choice, the 8mm is the bes...

  • Like: Images from this lens are outstanding. Sharpness, contrast and colour are good. The video effect is spectacular. The hardtodefine feel of the lens is luxurious.
  • Dislike: A very minor point – there is no image stabilisation. But used on an Olympus E Pen camera there is, because of the CCDshift stabilisation in Olympus cameras
  • Price: $1300Expensive but wonderfulThe low-down: This lens, designed for Panasonic and Olympus Micro Four Thirds cameras, is an extreme wide-angle optic with angle of view (180 degree diagonal) equivalent to a 16mm lens on a 3...

  • Abstract:  People are often intrigued by anything that changes the way they view subjects, which accounts for some of the popularity of fisheye lenses. Panasonic's Lumix G Fisheye 8mm f/3.5 lens, which was announced in June, is the first (and, so far, only) fishe...

  • Abstract:  Interchangeable lens cameras offer a lot more creative flexibility and control than smartphones and point-and-shoots. Buying a camera with swappable lenses lets you change your angle of view, and take advantage of speciality optics for macro and fish-eye...

  • Abstract:  Panasonic Lumix G Fisheye 8mm F3.5 uzupełnia katalog obiektywów w systemie Micro 4/3 o bardzo specyficzny rodzaj obiektywu szerokokątnego, czyli obiektyw typu rybie oko. Zniekształcenia, które uzyskujemy dzięki takiemu rodzajowi optyki, są wyjątkowo chara...
