  • Modular design lets you move camera head to different rooms as needed, Easy to use app with simple controls, Motion sensor can tell the difference between human and non-human activity
  • Lacks advanced security features, No third-party integrations, Currently doesn't integrate with other Hive products
  • There's no arguing with the Hive View's good looks and the appeal of being able to temporarily relocate it without a big logistical hassle. But once you get beyond these perks, the View is a fairly ordinary camera. It lacks advanced but common features li...

  • Sumptuous design, Detachable and portable, Comparatively cheaper subscription model
  • Hit and miss motion detection, Not suitable for the outdoors, Cannot view recordings through an internet browser
  • The View may not be the first security camera Hive as produced but it's definitely a step-up in terms of style and features. However, it has serious shortcomings. The motion detection is patchy and the company's choice of when to display a notification is...

  • You can set a schedule for when the camera should be recording and when it should be disarmed, You can adjust the sensitivity of the camera when it comes to detecting sound, There's an LED that illuminates so you know the if camera is recording or someone
  • The camera doesn't have a geofence so it won't automatically start recording when it senses that you've left home and stop recording when you arrived based on your smartphone's location
  • This is ideal if you want a wi-fi security camera that you can occasionally move around the house. It offers clear video that's got in-sync audio and can even distinguish between pets and people.Key specificationsField of vision: 130 degreesResolution: 19...

  • Abstract:  Unlike a lot of small external cameras this does not run on batteries so it requires the supplied USB lead to be connected. The lead supplied is 7.5 metres long so should be able to reach a mains outlet in most homes without problem but of course it does...

  • There's a handy screw that keeps the cable in place to ensure the power can't be pulled from the camera, It comes with a magnetic mount that makes it easy to position at any angle, You can set a schedule for when the camera should be recording and when it
  • Videos are only saved in a secure area online for 24 hours; it'll cost £4.99 per month if you want them for longer (and you'll also get sent a text if motion is detected in your home), The camera doesn't have a geofence so it won't automatically start rec
  • A simple to use, clear wi-fi security camera that can be used outdoors. With all the bells and whistles you'd expect such as schedules for recording and a two-way microphone, we think it's a great buy...

  • Over all we find the Hive View Outdoor camera a good addition to the rest of the Hive ecosystem of security products. The design looks solid, and it has survived both rain and temperatures down to -4. If you're already a Hive customer and you're in need of...

  • Easy to install, Motion and sound detection, Clever IFTTT channel to control camera recording
  • No motion detection zones, No thumbnails next to events
  • Easy to install and with a decent app, the Hive View Outdoor gets most things right, but a bit more control over motion alerts would have been welcome...
