  • Abstract:  eagate has made it as easy as possible to backup your data, and with the advent of digital cameras, where there is no longer a physical thing called a negative, it is extremely important to get that digital shoebox backed up. By offering its FreeAgent ...

  • AutoBackup Software, Available in 320GB, 500GB, 750GB, and 1000GB, Supports eSATA, USB, and Dual FireWire 400, Preloaded software, Touch sensitive power points, Stylish, Slim design
  • No eSATA cable included, High MSRP
  • The Seagate FreeAgent Pro 750GB USB/eSATA/1394 External Hard Drive is quite the drive. If this 750GB isnt right for you, only $159.95 at Geeks.com, Im sure you could find a smaller drive that would fit your pocket a little bit better. With the inclu...

  • The Seagate FreeAgent Pro 1TB is a handsome piece of hardware. Encased in an aluminum and plastic monolithic enclosure, it certainly won’t be an eyesore on your computer desk. However, the FreeAgent Pro is certainly more than just a pretty face. All ...

  • Abstract:  In May I took a look at a portable backup solution for users on the go, the Seagate FreeAgent Go, but let’s say you have a desktop at home and need a bit more storage to back up all of your digital content. Check out the bigger brother of the Go, th...

  • Compatible with eSATA. "Future-proofed" modular external connector. Fast transfer speeds. Good software suite. Software connects to online storage.
  • Although stylish, design is less than practical in some situations. External connector swaps are wonky. No FireWire 800. Backup software not Mac-compatible. Uses mini USB cable. No eSATA cable included.
  • The Seagate FreeAgent Pro 750GB is a big drive, and the software is well thought out and well designed, but its unusual case design will not appeal to everyone....

  • Easy installation, Gobs of storage space, Pre-formatted for Windows
  • No hard copy of the software, Glowing orange light looks cool, but can distract, No e-SATA cable
  • All in all the Seagate FreeAgent Pro 750GB external hard drive is a fantastic product. You really can’t ask for much more, the drive is large, easy to use and set up, and looks good. Seagate has a winner with the Seagate FreeAgent Pro 750GB external...

  • Reasonable USB 2.0 and Firewire speeds, Software is functional, attractive, and intuitive, Price per GB is competitive, even with bare internal drives of this size, 5 year warranty
  • Slow eSATA transfer rates, No eSATA cable included, Peculiar power switch, Software works hard to promote the purchase of more software/services, Enclosure shell gets very warm to the touch
  • While the eSATA performance should be better, the 750GB FreeAgent Pro performed reasonably well via USB 2.0 and Firewire. Considering that you have a massive amount of storage available, faster transfer rates would be desirable. If you actually want to...

  • AutoBackup and FreeAgent Tools software are easy to use and highly configurable; drive offers good gigabyte-per-dollar value; smooth interface with Internet Drive and Shutterfly; eSATA connectivity offers fast transfer speeds; elegant design; generous ...
  • Mac users cant take advantage of the bundled software; software installation is a bit slow; accessing your data "anywhere" requires you to have the foresight to upload it to the Internet Drive and potentially purchase more online storage capacity from...
  • The Seagate FreeAgent Pro external hard drive is an elegant workaround for users who are intimidated by NAS drives. The bundled software is simple to use and makes copying your data to various location a cinch. We really like this external hard drive.

  • There is simply no denying it, external storage is here and it’s not going to go anywhere soon. The days of having 12+ drives in a single case are over. Not only does it take a huge amount of connectors that the PC doesn’t have, but also adds...
