  • Sturdy chassis, Laptop and charger are very portable, Comfortable keyboard, Fairly easy to access internals for repairs and upgrades
  • Short battery life, Screen doesn't get bright enough for sunny rooms, CPU and GPU can't handle demanding workloads

  • Core i5 and 8GB RAM for decent power, Backlit keyboard with number pad, Fingerprint sensor in trackpad
  • No USB-C charging, proprietary charger only, Screen is dim with poor viewing angles, Battery is just okay, So much bloatware installed
  • Source: Ara Wagoner / Android CentralYou should buy this if. You don't care about the screen being dimYou haven't swapped to USB-C Power Delivery chargersYou intend to use it with external monitors most of the timeYou should not buy this if. You want...

  • Sleek-looking shell, Solid single- and multi-core performance, Impressive array of ports, Wi-Fi 6 support
  • Mediocre battery life, Weighs 3.75 pounds, and feels like it, No memory card reader

  • Decent battery life, Efficient processor, PWM-free display (AUO B156HAN02.1), Acceptable dimensions and weight
  • The body is almost entirely made of plastic, The keyboard isn't comfortable for typing, Low sRGB coverage – 54% of sRGB (AUO B156HAN02.1), Mediocre performance caused by the slow HDD
  • The Acer Aspire 5 (A515-55) in an unpretentious device that has its pros and cons like every other notebook. The build is nothing spectacular – the plastic dominates almost the whole build except for the lid which is made of aluminum and adds a bit of pre...

  • New Design and a very gorgeous color, Basic Entry Level Performance that fits day to day tasks alright, Room for Upgradability for RAM and Storage, Very Affordable Price tag
  • Speakers are not improved even the tiniest bit, Trackpad tend to get a little Sluggish, 4GB RAM is definitely low in today's world
  • To put it simply, the Acer Aspire 5 is a simple and a bland laptop overall but with some new look and a nicer color to go along with it. But as for the rest, it feels pretty much the same as the predecessor we have taken a look at and looking at the price...
