  • A high-end and beautifully designed ultrabook with a price tag to match. Though it costs a pretty penny, Dell is not overcharging for the XPS 13 7390 2-in-1. It's a blazing fast ultrabook and despite its lack of graphical prowess, you couldn't ask for bet...

  • Abstract:  For most students, one of the most significant investments they'll make is also the primary academic tool they'll need: a laptop. You can find a passable entry-level laptop with an adequate display, battery life, graphics card and hard drive for less than $300, but spending a few hundred more on the right laptop for your needs can yield a device with better performance, longer battery life and a bigger and faster SSD hard drive, which is well worth the additional money. We created this list of the best laptops for college students by using benchmark testing as well as our own hands-on experience. We considered everything from SSD storage to whether the laptop has a HD webcam (whether or not it had sufficient USB ports or an HDMI port was also was also a factor). We'll update it periodically as we review new products.

  • Shallow keyboard isn't for everyone, Display could be more colorful, No USB-A ports

  • Abstract:  Dell's XPS 13 family is split into two main product lines; 2-in-1 convertible notebooks and traditional clamshell-style laptops. It wasn't too long ago that we looked at the latest 2-in-1 with Intel's 10th-generation Core i7-1065G7. That machine was a thi...

  • Abstract:  Dell's XPS 13 2-in-1 7390 and HP's 5th-gen Spectre x360 13t embody the intense rivalry of the two top American PC vendors. Locked in a constant fight for market share, the companies seem to pour every technological advance they have into these two premium...

  • Limited I/O, Limited upgradability, A bit pricey
  • As always, the XPS 13 7390 is an amazing laptop to have. Not only it is one of the most portable notebooks on the market, but it also provides performance beyond the expectations of a ULV processor. As we saw in the temperature segment of this review, the...

  • As always, the Dell XPS 13 is an excellent machine. It has a solid build, a beautiful display, a good keyboard, and it comes in a tiny footprint. The narrow bezels make for an immersive experience, and it's super portable. There are two issues that I have...
