Lack of 1080p or Blu-ray limits home theater appeal; gaming performance is middling.

Disappointing audio output; below-average battery life, despite use of extended-cell battery; glossy touch pad doesn't provide the best feel.

Intel Core i7 CPU and Nvidia graphics turn in screaming performance. Games, movies, and Windows 7 look stellar on the huge 17.3-inch display. Can read Blu-ray discs. Impressive audio for integrated speaker set. Decent battery life.
Screen resolution falls short of 1080p. Glossy touchpad doesn't provide best feel.
