  • Acceptable maintenance possibilities, Moderate noise development, Bright non-glare screen, Performance-money ratio, Backlit keyboard, Decent sound, UltraBay feature
  • CPU's Turbo sometimes disabled, Unfavorable interface positioning, Sensitive screen bezel, SLI without graphics switching, Wobbly touchpad, Bulky power supply, Micro-stuttering
  • Lenovo IdeaPad Y510pThe verdict from our last review also applies to the new version. Lenovo's IdeaPad Y510p is a unique multimedia laptop that turns into a swift gamer due to the ultrabay.Apart from the micro-stutters and driver dependency, the GeForce G...

  • Abstract:  Like an assassin in a business suit, the Lenovo IdeaPad Y510p has a sleek, almost professional look that hides powerful gaming hardware within. Lenovo's gaming laptops have always been something of a contradiction, pushing beyond the company's well-known ...

  • Best gaming performance in the price range, even up to $1200, Good looking, Comfortable backlit keyboard, Very good sound quality and the best in class, Satisfying matte 1080p screen, Good build quality
  • High temperatures under some circumstances and for some games / software, Battery performance with SLI is average at best, Though good, the 1080p screen could be better, preferably an IPS or PLS panel based
  • UPDATE: new variant is now available with a the better Intel 7260 WiFi card and GT 755M SLI.No question the Y510p SLI I5 gaming laptop makes a lot of sense: top gaming performance for the money, combined with relatively good (though TN-panel) 1080p screen...

  • Abstract:  We've talked many times about Lenovo's segregation of mobile computers to IdeaPad and ThinkPad, and we've already had the chance to get acquainted with Y family of IdeaPad series when previous iteration was topical. These models use some technology of the...

  • Powerful, latest-generation CPU and Nvidia SLI graphics deliver excellent performance, Versatile Ultrabay offers choice of optical drive or second graphics card, Comfortable backlit keyboard
  • Short battery life, Hard drive with SSD cache rather than full SSD, Unnecessary amount of RAM in test configuration
  • Lenovo updates its already excellent Y Series gaming laptop with a "Haswell" CPU and dual GTX 750M graphics, resulting in even better performance. But the price could be cut by halving the RAM, and we'd like to see a real solid-state drive in this pr...

  • Abstract:  I'm a gamer, not a 100 percent hardcore gamer, but a serious enough gamer nonetheless and when I go shopping for laptops I ask myself one question “can I game on the go with this machine.” Actually, that's the baseline for all my computing devices, I have...

  • Portable Design (for gaming notebook), Versatility via Ultrabay, Solid Performance at Affordable Price
  • Poor Battery Life
  • With its portable form factor, strong performance and affordable price point the Lenovo IdeaPad Y510P delivers on all fronts. Equipped with dual NVidia GT 750M GPUs, 16GB of RAM and a 2.2 GHz fourth generation i7 processor the Y510P is able to tackle most...
