  • Currently selling around the $170 mark, this power supply should be considered by any power user, gamer, or computer upgrade/build looking for a quality power supply with all the current technical offerings current PSU designs allows. The 5 year warra...

  • The OCZ ZX Series 850W is a power supply that delivers solid features and performance and does it in a sleek aesthetic as well. From a functional standpoint, the ZX has excellent voltage regulation and efficiency. With a single +12V rail and 70 Amps av...

  • Due to the fact that the new ZX Series is OCZ’s flagship range the units are a little on the pricey side, with the 850w model situated at $180 US while the bigger beefier 1250w model costs $240 US. However as we mentioned at the start of the review, gi...

  • Handled full power at over 50°C ambient, High efficiency, All rails stayed within 3% voltage regulation, Passed all Advanced Transient Response tests, Good ripple/noise suppression, Fully modular design, Lots of SATA/peripheral connectors
  • Lacks an MOV in the transient filtering stage, Price is on the high side, Low efficiency at loads below 65W, 12V slope does not ramp smoothly in Turn-On Transient tests
  • It is confirmed. OCZ made a strong come back into the high-end PSU category with the release of the ZX series. The smallest member of the ZX series exhibited high efficiency through out 20-100% load range, its voltage regulation was within 3% for all m...

  • Good performance, Completely modular, 80 PLUS Gold certified, 5 year warranty
  • None that I found
  • OCZ has put together a very solid power supply in the ZX Series. In our testing the rails were very solid, with only minor ripples way under the threshold that we like to see. The ZX Series has a 80 PLUS Gold certification, which means it will run 87...

  • Abstract:  CDATA[ We have just taken a look at the OCZ ZX Series 850W Modular PSU. This unit is completely modular and is one of the best units we've ever taken a look at. It supports four PCIe connections and a ton of peripherals on a single 70Amp 12v rail. With it...

  • At the 850W the new OCZ ZX power supply will give you all the power and stability you could want in a power supply all while doing it on a single 12v rail. With 70A on that single the ZX has plenty of amps to handle most multi-GPU gaming rigs. And in ...

  • The OCZ ZX 850W seems to be a very robust and heavy duty power supply. With up to 70A of +12V and 850W of total continuous power available, the ZX 850W should run nearly any dual-GPU configuration that it is cabled for. Being outfitted with quad PCI-...
