  • Affordable. Beautifully designed hardware. As accurate as more expensive styli.
  • A little buggy to connect at times. Wide rubbery tip makes it harder to draw accurately. Eraser tip isn't very reliable
  • The Pencil stylus is inexpensive and great for drawing and sketching, and both Walnut and Graphite flavors look and feel fantastic, but the innovative eraser tip is hit or miss....

  • Elegant, smart design. Excellent features when paired with Paper app. Unlocks inapp purchases.
  • Needs to be paired before every use. Slight lag while drawing with certain brushes

  • I like the Pencil very much for what it is. You can tell the designers and developers at FiftyThree are proud of this product and they deserve to be. The Walnut version I am reviewing feels like a quality product top to tip. It is nice to hold in the hand...

  • Excellent build quality and design, Digital Eraser (with Paper app), Long battery life
  • Operative features limited to Paper app
  • FiftyThree has a unique product in Pencil and gets a lot of things right where others have been left wanting. The digital eraser is a great concept, especially for iPad users not accustomed to styli or artists who are looking for a more traditional workf...

  • Pairs instantly with Paper app, Excellent palm rejection implementation, Great for accuracy and quick writing
  • Eraser nib occasionally triggers blend mode, Lack of pressure and size alteration for brushes is a poor omission, $50 aluminum model hurts to hold after long periods of time
  • If Paper is your app of choice, the Pencil is certainly an appealing accessory for drawing, writing, and sketching. Its software-based palm rejection is excellent, and the pen's construction and balance in the hand is top tier. But it suffers from Paper'...

  • The Pencil is a lovely stylus to use with the app, the wider form factor is very comfortable to use (think carpenter pencil) and the wood finish really gives it a luxury feel - even with the gold finished version. We also like that FiftyThree has bundl...

  • Abstract:  Touchscreen tablets should, in theory, have been the perfect tool for art and sketching. But in reality doodling on one always feels slightly stilted. Dragging lines with a fingertip is inaccurate and doesn't feel natural.App developer FiftyThree has al...
