  • Easy setup, works well with compatible games, console feeling on the iOS devices
  • Limited compatible games, below average battery life

  • Physical controls really do improve top games. Sturdy stand lets you prop up an iOS device.
  • Only works with Gameloft titles, and just a fraction of what's available. Controller isn't particularly comfortable in the hand. New releases don't seem to support it from the start

  • Dual analog sticks make first-person shooters and racing games easier to play.
  • Only works with four Gameloft games. Expensive. Chunky controller
  • The Discovery Bay Games Duo Gamer is a capable, full-featured game controller for your iPad, as long as you don't mind sticking to a very limited number of Gameloft titles....

  • Abstract:  When an accessory makes you forget that you're playing a game on a tablet rather than on a full fledged PC or laptop, you have to admire the amazing interplay between the game and the accessory. The Duo Gamer controller is that accessory. Playing a FPS sh...

  • Abstract:  Well known gaming company Gameloft has recently thrown their hat in the ring developing physical game controllers to be used with the iPhone, iPod, and iPad. Their newly released controller is called Duo Gamer and retails for $79.99. Although this con...

  • Abstract:  The debate whether a smartphone or tablet can be considered a real gaming device is one that will likely go on for years to come. Much like the two opposing political parties, some gamers believe that hardcore gaming only exists on consoles or dedicated h...

  • Is the Duo Gamer a game-changer? It could be, but in its current implementation, it's not quite. Right now it's a fun way to play console like games on an iPad. It's even more impressive when you hook it up to the big screen. Let's be realistic: even...

  • Abstract:  Apple's portable devices have excelled at the raw performance side of gaming, but control has remained an issue since the first iPod and iPhone games were released. While a touch screen has benefits, it's not always the best interface for certain genr...

  • The Duo Gamer is wireless, has dual analog sticks, and works as a game controller when the iPad is connected to a large-screen TV
  • An $80 price is insane, it feels clunky, and it only works with a limited batch of Gameloft games. You'd better love Gameloft
  • The good news: the iPad has a game controller. The bad news: it only works with a few games. Meet the awkward Duo Gamer.

  • I would definitely recommend the Duo Gamer controller for any iPad gamer interested in taking their Gameloft titles to a new level. The overall experience is very console-like and will hopefully show hardware and software makers that the realm of iPad g...
