  • Lots of characters to choose from, NPCs react to different characters in different ways, lots of equipment, detailed character sprites and environments, a huge world to explore, multiple endings, secret characters and a unique storyline.
  • The random battle encounter rate is quite high. Some people have reported glitches.

  • Abstract:  I get what the developers of Black Sigil were going for, and while I'm all in for supporting small developers that manage to pump out an actual, commercial release, Black Sigil tries so hard to tie into it's roots, 16 bit RPG's, that it fails to realiz...

  • Abstract:  With recent releases of such franchises as Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest on the Nintendo DS, the portable console has become a haven for traditional role-playing games. While its certainly nice to revisit such landmark titles, there is also room for ...

  • Likable characters and engaging story, Charming retro aesthetic.
  • Story is very slow to start, Encounter rate is extremely high, Battles are occasionally frustrating.
  • While Black Sigil comes with all the basic trappings of a traditional RPG, it’s too frustrating and unoriginal to stand out. ...
