  • Abstract:  Despite the prevalence of increasingly epic games with bigger budgets and better graphics, classic RPGs of days long past are finding an extra life on current-generation hardware. Remakes are nothing new to players. Getting them to bite often requires a p...

  • An NES classic is reborn on the handheld device for the Nintendo DS. Does this aged classic hold its own amongst common-day RPGs, or is it far too dated for its own good? Full review inside.OverviewFor those who follow the Dragon Quest franchise, and ...

  • Abstract:  I’m going to open on a rather moot point: mucking around with titling across regions is what got Square into so much bother in the past, culminating in stuff like the US release of Final Fantasy III actually being Final Fantasy VI. Dragon Quest, too,...

  • Abstract:  Don't ask me what it is, but I love to play RPGs on my handheld gaming systems. Maybe it's because I can take it then along on a long plane ride to help the time pass, or maybe I just like the idea of being able to whip out one of my old favorite adve...

  • Wonderful storyline. The multiple chapters are a great way to introduce characters. Beautiful sprites. Interesting multiplayer aspect. A challenging adventure.
  • Quick save doesn’t work in dungeons. Dialect text can be distracting. Level grinding is mandatory.

  • Abstract:  Unlike what happens in other games of this genre, here each character has their very own storyline, filled with dreams and hopes of an happy future, which they’ll try to achieve. Torneko, one of the main characters, is a fat and lazy man who want...
