  • Combat is tense and varied, with a broad set of interesting, unpredictable interactions. Exploration and online multiplayer are seamless.
  • Respawning enemies, fetch quests, backtracking, and mission structure make Dead Island feel tedious at times. Roleplaying elements are tacked on and don't play to the game's strengths

  • Abstract:  Looking beyond that, Dead Island is still a fun play. Dead Island strands you on a “small” vacation island off the coast of Papua New Guinea during the midst of a zombie outbreak. Though labeled “small”, the island is actually quite large, featuring...

  • Gorgeous environments, Hard-hitting combat, Excellent sound,
  • Multiplayer combat isn’t as smooth as single player, Sparse story, Too many fetch quests,
  • Dead Island serves up some choice zombie-thrashing thrills in a gorgeous environment, but a weak story, tedious fetch quests, pacing issues, and some multiplayer issues keep it from greatness. ...

  • Abstract:  This cinematic trailer was the first glimpse most people had of Techland’s new first-person zombie beat-‘em-up, which takes place on a tropical resort in the heart of Papua New Guinea, just north of Australia. It’s beautiful and heart-wrenching, but in...

  • If you like zombies, RPG’s, FPS’s, Borderlands, or if you have warm blood flowing through your vein and are not a zombie, then you will love this game. The environments are beautiful, the gameplay is fun, and the amount of play time that you get for yo...

  • Zombies that demand respect, an evocative open world that invites exploration, a combat system that requires thought
  • A game this good deserves a decent story and characters, buggier than a decomposing zombies stomach cavity
  • There's definitely a wide spread of opinions about this game, but anything that involves zombie decapitation is a good game in my books. What score would you give Dead Island...

  • Abstract:  Sometimes, the best gaming experiences come from titles that you either didn't expect to be good, or simply didn't even know existed until a few months before release. Heading up into Dead Island's release, this is what many of us were hoping for: a...
