  • Brilliant series faithfully reborn on a portable platform, Excellent value.
  • Touchscreen camera controls wreak havoc on gameplay, occasional dips in framerate
  • The Jak and Daxter Collection is a wonderful way to revisit an excellent series, but a lamentable control decision makes what should be a fun experience a bit bothersome....

  • Jak II is the gangrenous limb of this collection and should be ignored by most, prompting even the suggestion that you buy the first and third games separately on PSN if you can get them cheaper than the whole collection on disc. Any platforming fan owes...

  • Abstract:  Another week, another HD collection. In a time where looking back is as exciting as looking forward, yet another trilogy of classic PS2 games arrives on PS3. This time the series in question is Jak and Daxter, the games Naughty Dog were making before U...

  • Abstract:  Remaking an old franchise in HD is a delicate art. Change too little and your fan base sees little reason to buy the remake when they can just play the original games instead. Change too much and your fan base will blast you for attempting to fix somet...

  • Abstract:  Say what you will about rerelease collections, but this one was needed. The Jak and Daxter series contained some of the finest games available on the PS2, and this generation of PS3 gamers may have missed out on Naughty Dog's earliest works, so a ser...

  • Abstract:  It seems like the collections that Sony are putting together are a bit of a mixed bag. For the most part, it comes down to the quality of the original games and any extras that might be included. The Jak and Daxter collection from Sony cer...

  • Updated graphics look good without losing the original style. Gameplay feels solid and true to the source, plenty of content on one disc.
  • Nothing new if you played the originals. Trigger-happy trophy awarding reduces the sense of achievement. Some overly harsh difficulty spikes, particularly for a game marketed towards children.
