  • Abstract:  While other fighting games go for a more realistic approach, SoulCalibur is the king of funky and original. It's been a few years since the franchise saw first light on the SEGA Dreamcast (nine, to be exact). The series has seen nothing but success wherev...

  • The graphics of the game are superb. The game play takes time getting used to like most fighting games, but it is solid (save a few balance issues). The online playability with standard and homegrown characters offers a lot of replay factor to the game ma...
  • There are a few characters with some balance issues that "Force" their way into the game. I am not naming any names, but Lord knows a few need some polishing. On top of that I do wish for two other things: The opening "text" storyline for each character n...

  • We don’t normally fawn over titles like this, but when a developer steps up to the plate and gets everything right, they deserve praise. At it’s core Soulcalibur IV is an great-feeling fighter. Surrounding that core are some minor bells and whistles lik...

  • Abstract:  There is just something about playing Soul Calibur that makes me extremely nostalgic for the Dreamcast. Call me crazy, but there’s just something about the experience that makes me fondly recall my initial introduction to the series there. Perhaps it ...

  • As I have stated before I am a huge Mortal Kombat fan and was not excited at all about reviewing this game. After playing for about an hour I quickly forgot about my feelings and become a huge fan. You have so much to do with multiple game modes. I fou...

  • Star Wars fans will love playing as Yoda, Darth Vader, and the Apprentice. Online is great for current Soulcalibur fans to enjoy.
  • The game sure has slowed down in comparison to Soulcalibur IIs speed.
  • While it isnt the best fighter to come out in 2008, it does a lot of things well enough to keep fans happy and intrigue new-comers.

  • Abstract:  Namco has been making 3D fighters since the inception of the PS one. Gamers were first wowed by the Tekken series for its accessible game play; with deep enough fighting styles that would make any master of the series humble a rookie as well. Then we w...
