  • Abstract:  Giant Sparrow's The Unfinished Swan turned a lot of heads at E3 this year as yet another one of those artsy experiences designed to counter balance the blood-lust that surrounds AAA gaming these days.Flower, Journey, Pixeljunk Eden; these hypnotic games a...

  • The Unfinished Swan starts out strong, but the evolution of its disparate elements seems unnatural, even forced. The pleasant narration and storybook stylings are a perfect fit, but struggle to stand out in the face of dull and contrived mechanics. It's ...

  • Abstract:  thatgamecompany’s Journey was honestly an emotional and transcendent experience nearly each and every time that I’ve played through the game. That being said, it will be difficult for me to not compare any such “videogames as art” new indie release to ...

  • Fantastic painting mechanic makes you feel like a creator and explorer at the same time, Plenty of interesting worlds and gameplay mechanics to explore.
  • Too many new mechanics in too short a game leaves you wanting more
  • It may be short and a bit surreal, but The Unfinished Swan is one of the most enjoyable PSN games you'll play this year....

  • Innovative painting mechanic, Fairytale storyline keeps you moving forward.
  • Shallow and repetitive gameplay, Easy puzzles fail to engage you in the world
  • The Unfinished Swan's childlike sense of wonder doesn't fully mask its simplistic gameplay....

  • Abstract:  The Unfinished Swan ReviewThere's a danger in becoming enamoured with any game that eschews the grit and grunt of Triple-A gaming and emphasises beauty, calm and serenity. Perhaps it's a sign of gamer's malaise, perhaps the quality of Sony's recent PSN...

  • Smart graphical and music design, Unique concept for a game – painting as a discovery and building tool
  • The game has no challenge to it; puzzles are short, cheap, easy to solve, and lack depth, Overall story is uninspiring, dull, and emotionless, Extremely short with minimal replay value, Expensive for what it is at $15
  • An expensive PSN title that's very short, completely unique, but lacks emotion, challenge, and is u...

  • Abstract:  Some people tend to scoff at the idea that games are art. However it's been proven time and time again, most of the time even on the PlayStation Network, that experimental games which borderline works of art, can be just as deeply engaging, moving and bea...

  • Beautiful, unique game world. Strong concepts provide an intriguing hook. A perfect puzzle game entry point for younger gamers.
  • Great ideas aren’t developed far enough. The game’s sense of wonder wears off too quickly. Very short, and very easy.
