  • Abstract:  Rampage: Total Destruction for the Nintendo Wii, is a halfhearted attempt by Midway to revive an all but forgotten arcade classic. Unfortunately, former token-feeding glories have not been realized. The re-release of the title on the Wii has gamers scr...

  • Abstract:  Rampage was one of my favorite classical arcade games. When it was brought to the Nintendo Wii, I figured the remake of this classical legend would amp up the fun and offer better game play due to the newer graphics. Sadly, Rampage: Total Destruction ...

  • Abstract:  The original Rampage was a repetitive 1986 quarter-muncher that let three players bash the crap out of a whole bunch of practically identical cities. Twenty years later, the formula hasnt changed a bit.

  • Just the right amount of motion control; decent amount of content, in both single- and multiplayer.
  • Plenty of control quirks; audio is just plain awful; not good for extended play sessions.
  • Rampage sticks out like a giant, mutated thumb in the Wii launch library: It doesnt have a popular kids license attached to it; it isnt a killer app; and the game its porting isnt all that popular to begin with. In fact, Total Destruction could be ...

  • Abstract:  Building off the 80s arcade favourite, Rampage: Total Destruction is a simple-minded, city smashing romp where the aim of the game is simple- destroy everyone and everything in your path. And, indeed, things couldn’t be more abundantly simple than t...

  • Multi-player mode
  • Controls offer no precision, irritating sense of "humour"
  • The four-player mayhem modes serve as a nice social break from the campaigns limited partnership, but even then the sheer brain-numbing repetition quickly drains all the joy from taking a wrecking ball to the world. Given that the Wii is shaping up t...
