Beautiful animation sequences; killer soundtrack; voice acting....in a 16-bit game!
Battle system is awkward; enemies are too strong; a little too much backtracking.
Attacking without an attack button takes some getting used to, but Ys Book I & II is still a fine adventure-RPG thats way ahead of its era and contains possibly one of the best videogame soundtracks of all time.
