Abstract: It's hardly a secret that World War 2 games are saturating the market. We've seen Operation Overlord, we've seen the campaign for Normandy and the push to Berlin. We've seen earnest squads of soldiers working together to take hills. Just when it seems ...
I know what you're thinking - "Oh noes, not ANOTHER World War 2 Strategy game!?" The industry's love affair with that particular time period will probably never go away, not soon anyway. There's just something about it, it's one of the last wars that d...
Ruses provide a nifty and original strategic element, Slick tabletop interface makes it easy to stay organized, Recon, ambushes, and other elements make for lots of flexibility, Online and skirmish matches are really fun.
Bland story characterized by poor cutscenes and inferior voice acting, Campaign is boring and badly paced.
This intriguing real-time strategy game overcomes its feeble campaign by encouraging a different approach to battlefield tactics. ...
RUSE takes a while to warm up, but once it does, it's cracking stuff, as the game's unfailingly proper British generals would no doubt put it. It makes real-time strategy accessible with pad controls without sacrificing either complexity or challenge. ...
Abstract: A breath of fresh air in the RTS genre. When I saw the first promo for R.U.S.E. I admit I was skeptical. It appeared to be just another gimmick to try and create a solid strategy game on consoles. The concept is that you could use deception to fool your...
Abstract: Like most video game genres, the RTS is a bit of divisive one. Personally, we've felt that they could never truly work the way they're supposed to on a console controller given their innate complexities, and until Halo Wars came along and went some way...
Abstract: R.U.S.E. is the latest RTS (real-time strategy) to hit the XBox 360 that is set during the turbulent era of World War II. Even though I’ve never been a fan of RTS games on the XBox 360, the Halo RTS game was an exception. In all honesty, you really can...
Abstract: RUSE is an odd game. I’m going to be straight up about it. As a World War Two Real Time Strategy, it’s a square peg in a round hole. Like the 1939 Polish tank corp. it puts up a valiant but ultimately futile attempt at bringing RTS gaming to the Xbox 3...
Excellent, coherent control system. Ruse concept works well, and elevates the title beyond mere RTS scrapping. Simple, uncomplicated GUI with easy to understand unit upgrades.
Useless campaign mode. Texture details sorely lacking on Xbox 360 version.
