The Sennheiser HD 238 on-ear headphones are comfortable and affordable, and sound good for the money
The headphones fold flat but lack a compact design like the Bose OE2 headphones, there's no integrated microphone for cell phones (like the step-up 238i), this is a discontinued model that will disappear from stores quickly
Priced less than the Bose OE2s, the comparable Sennheiser 238 headphones deliver good bang for your buck.
The Sennheiser HD 238 provides users with that which no other headphone has provided so well: great sound quality, all across the board. All the ranges are perfectly balanced and clearly delivered to your ears for a truly amazing listening experience. ...
Plenty of punchy bass; good amount of detail; extremely comfortable; lightweight.
Very little isolation; uninspired high frequencies; not the most travel-friendly.
Sennheiser is a brand name that needs no introduction to audiophiles and mass-market audio consumers alike – their high-end products are well regarded by audiophiles and their low-end products are generally well received by everyday consumers. Their he...
Abstract: For my second headphone review, I checked out the US$99.00 Sennheiser HD238 headphones. These ’supra-aural’ headphones are very comfortable and will fill the gap nicely if you are fed up (like me) with buds, pods and ear canal diggers and you don’t wan...

Good build quality, comfortable ear-cups and headband
Slightly distant mid-bass, "leaky" open nature
Sennheiser’s HD 238 Precision headphones are well made and comfortable. Sound quality is good, albeit with a flat frequency response that may be missing some of the musicality of other Sennheiser models. The headphones are nonetheless full of detail...
Comfortable to wear, even after several hours, Light but wellmade design, Good coverage of frequencies accross the spectrum
Terrible cable and connector, Can't be fully folded, Not very well insulated for use out and about
The HD 238 couldn't be more different to the disastrous HD 228. Although still not perfect, they'll make a good alternative to PX-series headphones....
