  • Abstract:  Youve heard the old saying—you cant be too rich or too thin. I wont touch the "too rich" part here, but people can certainly be too thin to maintain good health. On the other hand, flat panels have no such restriction, getting thi...

  • Summing up all the qualities of the 55-" Samsung UN55B7000 LED TV is difficult because it is a high-valued model that is sold for such an unusually reasonable price, when taking the technology into perspective. LED TVs use less power and generate more ...

  • Produces relatively deep black levels; accurate color; very good dejudder processing; sleek styling with 1.2-inch thick panel; extensive feature set with Yahoo widgets, network streaming, and a lot of built-in content; extremely energy-efficient.
  • Expensive; less-uniform screen than other LCDs; poor off-angle viewing; backlight fluctuates with program brightness; dark areas tinged bluer; shiny screen can cause reflections in bright rooms; red frame isnt for everyone.
  • Although its picture quality cant quite live up to the high price, the Samsung UNB7000 series is a technological and design tour de force.

  • The problem is that this set dims the sidelights whenever the program material gets dark, and it does it in the most ungraceful way ever. Check out the menu that I popped on screen, merely to show you what happens to white material on screen when the ...

  • Abstract:  The flat panel television market has undergone some major changes of late. The battle between LCD and Plasma has shifted with the introduction of LED panels. These aren’t a new type of panel but more a new light source for LCD TVs. Instead of using a ...

  • Abstract:  Large, flat screen TVs are among the most power hungry and intensively used of domestic appliances. Samsung’s UE40B7000 (black version UE40B7020) is leading the charge for fully-featured TVs that deliver stunning HD pictures while respecting the enviro...

  • This TV has a lot going for it, from great looks before you even plug it in through to sharp, pleasing HD images and decent Freeview fidelity. The audio isn’t cinephile quality, but fine for day-to-day use. The addition of limited Internet access, t...

  • The Samsungs UE-40B7000 may not ultimately establish itself as a benchmark TV along the lines of Pioneers Kuro range; but it will certainly be remembered as the first TV to make available the benefits of LED performance to the vast majority of consum...
