  • Characterful, Week-long battery life, Plenty of useful features
  • Getting pricey, Huge bezel/tiny screen, Lacks apps
  • Pebble adds a layer of style to its brilliant pioneering smartwatch, but its price brings it up to the level of smarter watches with which it struggles to compete in terms of apps, screen size and resolution. But it is a clear winner for colour-screened b...

  • The final verdict is a tough one, both watches are really different, both have features that the other lacks, so each one addresses a different type of consumers. So, the Steel's water resistance makes it a great choice for swimmers, the heart rate monito...

  • A Better Body, Great Battery Life, Timeline, Waterproof, Is Compatible With Android And iOS
  • The Bezels Are Huge, Apps Are Basic, The Price Is A Little High, Too Similar To Pebble Time
  • What Pebble Time Steel tried to do is get a better integration into the mainstream, it tried to create a superior, more mature smartwatch than the more toy-like Pebble Time while retaining everything its predecessor had and without adding much more. And it...

  • Android users have a more difficult choice. Pebble works better with Android than it does with iPhone, so it's harder to choose between the Pebble Time Steel and Android Wear smart watches. The Pebble Time Steel, especially in gold, looks better than ever...

  • Other devices bow down to its battery life, Great build quality, Plenty of watch faces to choose from,
  • Buttons could be firmer, App store a little lacking, Screen is washed out,

  • "The Pebble Time Steel is very similar to the Pebble Time, far more so than the original Pebble and its classed-up brother the Pebble Steel. We really don't think this is an essential upgrade, especially if you already own the cheaper version."...

  • Anno 2016 a smartwatch cannot be labeled unmissable and essential. It's definitely a nice gadget to have, but you'll get through the day just fine without one, without ever feeling that you miss something. Manufacturers have realized that marketing a sm...

  • Gives an average of seven-days battery life per charge, iPhone and Android connectivity, solid design, full-colour screen is always-on, simple to use, waterproof to 30-metres
  • No touchscreen, not as vibrant as rivals, not as many apps as Android Wear or Apple Watch
  • There are some who won't be as enamoured with the Pebble Time Steel as we are and that's fine: there are plenty of alternatives in the shape of Android Wear devices, Samsung rivals or the Apple Watch, and many are around the same price. However, ge...

  • The Time Steel is the best Pebble you can buy The Pebble Time Steel is very similar to the Pebble Time, far more so than the original Pebble and its classed-up brother the Pebble Steel. We really don't think this is an essential upgrade, especially if yo...

  • The Time Steel fixes most of my gripes about the regular Time — better buttons, better screen — and puts everything in a package that looks nicer, and feels better on my wrist,
  • That oversized bezel makes the whole thing feel a little calculator-watch cheap. The glass on the screen also seems susceptible to scratches — I've put two (tiny) marks on the screen in under a week, which doesn't bode well for the long run, Conclusion
  • If you want a Pebble watch, the Time Steel is the one to buy. For a bit less than £100, you get a watch that fixes everything wrong with the Time, in a far more attractive package. If you can't stomach the extra cash, I'd seriously consider buying the ori...
