  • Philips has put together a very attractive, easy to set up Wi-Fi music streamer and radio. The colour display and improved navigation, plus a standby power consumption of just 1Watt are all in its favour – it’s really only the £230 price tag that lets...

  • Excellent sound quality for its size; unique color screen that displays album art; full Rhapsody integration; provides access to thousands of Internet radio stations; stylish exterior design; easy setup to stream music from connected PCs.
  • Interface can get sluggish with large music libraries; slight delay between tracks; no support for Pandora, Last.fm, or Slacker; included remote occasionally confusing.
  • The Philips NP2900 is a great-sounding Wi-Fi radio with a unique color display, but it doesnt offer enough features to justify its price premium over competitors.

  • Abstract:  The Philips Streamium NP2900 Network Music Player is a direct rival to Logitech's excellent Squeezebox Boom, but it's a bit smaller at 346.5mm x 69mm x 99mm – and much louder at, well, loud, thanks to its four speakers. The NP2900 gets along fine with bo...

  • Compact, stylish, and solidly built. Wall mountable. Bright screen. Surprisingly big sound

  • The Philips Streamium NP2900 might not stand out particularly, but luckily its performance means it doesn't need to. Adding a radio tuner to the mix wouldn't have done the system any harm, but the omission shouldn't be considered a death knell by any mean...

  • If Streamium were an element, it would be heavier than heavy metal and lighter than air guitar, with the lustre of a freshly minted gold record. The NP2900 has a meaty 30W of amplification and uses smart digital processing to turn plain old MP3 (or WMA, A...
  • When you’ve got a terabyte drive groaning at the seams with music, you need to be able to navigate it easily – and here the Streamium struggles. It’s slow to browse albums (especially when you’ve got artwork visible) and occasional...
  • Free your music with the most stylish streaming player on the market today. It’s not quite as speedy or smart as the Logitech Boom but it’s simple, reliable and delivers where it counts in sonic superiority.Philips Streamium NP2900 is tagged w...

  • Simple, intuitive and easy to use set-up, good clear interface and onscreen keyboard, ability to play several formats, decent quality sound.
  • £230 price lets down an otherwise attractie package from Philips. Min specs: Wireless music and photo streaming device; internet radio; 4in backlit; colour LCD; remote control; 4 speakers; 30 Watt RMS combined output; plays streamed music and photos...
