  • Although the Sony Xperia looks and feels nice, it offers poor performance and little in the way of features. Battery life is good but it means less when the Huawei Ascend G300 outclasses it and costs even less....

  • Abstract:  Sony has released more smartphones than ever before 2012, hoping that strength in numbers will help it overcome Android competition from the likes of Samsung and HTC. One important, but often overlooked area of any manufacturer’s line-up is the entry l...

  • Good call quality, Capable loudspeaker
  • Subpar camera quality
  • The Sony Xperia tipo is a very decent foray in the world of entry level Androids. It has the performance and stability of Android Ice Cream Sandwich going for it, as well as a pleasant to hold, and comfortable to operate with one hand chubby chassis w...

  • Even Sony Ericsson, at it's lowest point in sales and overall situation, would not try and make the potentional buyers believe this is an actual dual SIM phone. Actually since the phone was in developement when Sony bought Ericsson's shares it is both...

  • Android 4.0, Smooth and responsive, Solid battery life, Fast browser, Good for music
  • Low res screen, Cramped keyboard, Bad for watching video, Mediocre camera, Contacts and messaging
  • Buying guide 20 best mobile phones in the world today We were fairly impressed with the Sony Xperia Tipo. Barring the occasional slowdown or judder you wouldn't know it had such modest specs. It's generally fast and responsive, it's got solid battery life...

  • Abstract:  The Sony Xperia tipo is the first low-cost Android 4 smartphone to arrive in the UK. This budget model costs a mere £110 without a contract. That price puts it on a par with the Motorola Motosmart XT389, but although the two smartphones share similar s...

  • Despite its faults, I would happily recommend the Sony Xperia Tipo to users considering upgrading to a smartphone but not willing to break the bank. For what you pay for, the Tipo delivers, and I think it would be tough to find better performance at such...

  • Long battery life, Runs Ice Cream Sandwich, Dinky dimensions
  • Price is relatively high for the specification, Tiny and low resolution screen, Slightly iffy call quality
  • Sony Xperia Tipo Specs The Sony Xperia Tipo specification is quite modest. It uses a single core 800 MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor which is teamed up with 512MB of Ram. It's certainly not the fastest phone we've used, but nor is it dreadfully slow. Ho...
